PEER REVIEW PROCESS AND EDITORIAL DECISION

All manuscripts submitted to Nexus Business & Management Journal (NBMJ) undergo an initial editorial screening before being sent for external peer review. At this stage, the editorial team assesses the manuscript's relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, academic quality, methodological adequacy, completeness, and compliance with the journal's submission requirements.

Manuscripts that are clearly outside the scope of NBMJ, do not meet basic academic or ethical standards, or are not sufficiently prepared for peer review may be rejected or returned to the authors without external review.

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial assessment are assigned to independent reviewers through a double-blind peer-review process. Under this system, the identities of the authors and reviewers are concealed from one another in order to support an impartial and objective evaluation.

Reviewers are expected to assess the manuscript based on its originality, theoretical and practical contribution, methodological rigor, quality of analysis, clarity of presentation, relevance to the field of business and management, and overall scholarly value.

Based on the reviewers' recommendations and the editorial evaluation, the manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:

  • Accepted
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Rejected

A request for revision does not automatically guarantee publication. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the editorial team and, when necessary, returned to the reviewers for further assessment.

The Editor-in-Chief of Nexus Business & Management Journal (NBMJ) holds final responsibility for determining whether a manuscript is accepted for publication. The final decision is made by considering reviewer recommendations, editorial judgment, compliance with journal policies, ethical considerations, and the overall contribution of the manuscript.

Review Process

  1. Manuscript Submission
The author submits the manuscript through the official NBMJ online submission system.
  2. Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team evaluates the manuscript's scope, quality, originality, compliance, and general suitability. Manuscripts may be rejected or returned for improvement at this stage.
  3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts considered suitable are sent to independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
  4. Editorial Evaluation and Decision
The editor considers the reviewers' reports and determines the appropriate editorial decision.
  5. Author Notification
The corresponding author is informed of the editorial decision and, where applicable, receives reviewer comments and revision instructions.
  6. Revision and Re-Evaluation
If revision is requested, the author submits a revised manuscript together with a response to reviewer and editor comments. The revised manuscript may undergo further editorial or reviewer evaluation.
  7. Final Decision
After all required revisions and evaluations have been completed, the Editor-in-Chief issues the final publication decision.
